The book “Big Tail Elephant,” designed by hesign, showcases the work of four influential Chinese artists: Chen Shaoxiong, Liang Juhui, Lin Yilin, and Xu Tan, who formed the Big Tail Elephant collective in the 1990s in Guangzhou, at the heart of the Pearl River Delta.

The book serves as an archive, featuring performances, photographs, installations, and videos of the group. 

To capture the urban guerrilla style of the artists’ works, the typography on the book cover was made by spraying and then digitalizing it, resembling graffiti.
